PLOT
Campers and counselors at Camp Firewood juggle love, field trips, Skylab and the talent show on the last day of summer camp.
WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH
This is one of the funniest casts every assembled. It is a veritable who’s who of comedy: Janeane Garofalo, Paul Rudd, Michael Showalter, Michael Ian Black, Elizabeth Banks, Molly Shannon, Ken Marino, Amy Poehler. Comedic royalty.
It’s not just the amazing cast that brings the funny. This movie was scripted by angels from heaven. It is non-stop hilarious. Seriously, this is one of the most quotable movies I have ever watched. Need to break up with your friend turned boyfriend of one night? There’s a quote for that. There are also quotes for wooing girls in the cafeteria, being called a douche bag, sluts, falling in love, smearing mud on your ass. Virtually every scenario.
You will never see Christopher Meloni the same way. I was one of those people who saw Law and Order: Special Victims Unit before this and thought that he could only be as serious as his onscreen counterpart. The moment I first heard Gene tell Gary that the powder packets were next to his bottle of dick cream, Detective Stabler was 100% forgotten.
Coop reminds me of my best friend Alex. While he doesn’t appreciate the comparison, it is so true. I’m pretty sure that’s the whole point of his characterization. He’s supposed to be just like your best guy friend.
Everything Paul Rudd does. He is BRILLIANT as the super dick Andy.

The “big secret pizza party”. I want to do this to pretty much every kid that I have ever met.
Field trip! Everyone wants to take a trip into town. Even if it’s just for an hour.
Talking can of vegetables. I would FREAK if a can of vegetables started talking to me.
The most epic training montage of all time. I love the spoofing of 80’s montages.
