Song Challenge Take 2: Day 47

The oldest song you own

“On the Good Ship Lollipop” / Shirley Temple (1934)

My mother loves Shirley Temple movies. I grew up watching them on rainy days: Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, A Little Princess, Bright Eyes. Any time I hear a song from one of Shirley’s movies, I think of my mom. Naturally I have a couple kicking around on my ipod for nostalgic reasons and “On the Good Ship Lollipop” just happens to be the oldest.
