Day 25- A song by an artist no longer living
“I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” / Otis Redding (1965)
I’ve spoken before briefly about my love of Otis Redding and everything he sang; he’s one of the first things I ever wrote about on this blog. “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” is my favorite of all his songs. It’s both beautiful and a little melancholy. At the end of the song he is begging his mate to let him keep loving her. It’s a nice sentiment but so desperate. His voice is raw and passion-filled, conveying emotions like no other.
